One Person Injured in Nixa House Fire

NIXA, Mo. -- A house was damaged overnight in Nixa, Missouri and one person suffered minor injuries when fire broke out.

Nixa Assistant Fire Chief Whitney Weaver says the fire was reported just after 1:00 a.m. at a house int he 300 block of Market Street.

Weaver says most of the house, along with a pickup truck and RV outside, were in flames.  Firefighters were able to put it out quickly.

Weaver says the people living in the house made it out safely, but one was treated for a minor injury.  The cause is under investigation.

Firefighters from Battlefield, Ozark, Clever, and Highlandville aided Nixa in putting out the flames.
