Mountain View-Birch Tree Schools Closed Thursday Due to Water Main Issue

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Mo. — The Mountain View-Birch Tree School District will not be in session on Thursday, January 4 due to frozen pipes.

Superintendent Dr. Don Christensen told Ozark Radio News that pipes to Liberty Middle School were frozen, which led to the district being unable to supply water to the building, affecting food and sewage services. He added that district crews are hoping to get the issue fixed sometime on Thursday.

Dr. Christensen says the district expects school to resume on Friday, January 5.
