Hot temperatures again on Monday. Afternoon highs will be in the low to mid-90s with heat index values between 100 and 105°. A few isolated storms are possible in the afternoon.
More sunshine on Tuesday with highs in low 90s, but humid conditions are expected. A weak upper-level storm moving north through Arkansas and Southeast Missouri will generate higher rain chances there, but most of the Ozarks is looking at only isolated afternoon showers with highs in the low 90s.
By Wednesday, the hot pattern will break down as a storm in the West moves towards the Ozarks. Storms will be more widespread by Wednesday afternoon, more likely on Thursday as a front nears the Ozarks from the west.
The front will likely stall over the area into Friday, keeping a chance for showers and thunderstorms through Friday before it begins to move out on Saturday. Temperatures should be cooler with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Overnight lows will be a little cooler too. We'll have to keep an eye on at least a risk for stronger storms Thursday into Saturday with more wind energy available to organize thunderstorm activity.
Hotter and drier weather will build north back into the area by Sunday with highs back in the 90s.
