BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — A Missouri-based company has opened it up for bids for the gun George Zimmerman used to kill Trayvon martin.
According to KCTV, the gun is currently up for auction on UnitedGunGroup.com, a website registered out of Blue Springs. The website’s creator, Todd Underwood, said he is doing nothing wrong.
“This is not about George Zimmerman for us. This is about the Second Amendment and standing firm for individual rights as adults to make their own decision,” Underwood said.
This is the third time Zimmerman has tried to auction the gun off. He first put the gun up for sale last week, which was met with public outcry and fake bids, which drove up the price to $66 million.
Underwood did not say whether his site would seek to prevent the fake bidding that plagued the previous auction effort.
