Mike Pence Visits Kansas City for Fundraiser for Conservative Legislators

KANSAS CITY, Mo (KCTV) - Vice President Mike Pence landed at Kansas Wednesday morning as part of a trip to fundraise for conservative legislators throughout the Midwest.

KCTV reports Pence's visit will be centered around promoting President Donald Trump’s tax plan and helping Kansas Republican Congressman Kevin Yoder fundraise for the upcoming midterm election.

The fundraising event for Yoder will be private but Pence's event on tax cuts will be open to the public.

Yoder faces a tough re-election fight in Kansas’ Third District.

Yoder will not attend the fundraiser. He instead will continue working in Washington D.C., KCTV reports.

At the public event, Pence will make remarks at the American First Policies event, as part of the Tax Cuts to Put America First tour. The event will be hosted by a non-profit organization that promotes the policy agenda of President Trump.

The event will be held at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown, located at 200 W 12th Street, with Pence expected to speak at about 12:15 p.m.
