Man Previously Convicted of Child Sex Crimes Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography Possession

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--A Springfield man pleaded guilty to downloading and distributing thousands of child pornography files over the internet.

51-year-old Anthony R Salois, who was previously convicted of sexual abuse involving a minor and is a registered sex offender, pleaded guilty to charged filed on July 22, 2014. He admitted to having and distributing child pornography between September 16 and September 20, 2013.

He has been in custody since July 2014.

Law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Salois’s residence on Oct. 13, 2013, and seized two desktop computers. Investigators found 3,973 images of child pornography, 50 multimedia files of child pornography, 641 images of child erotica and 39 multimedia files of child erotica on those computers.

The minimum sentence Salois can receive is 15 years in prison, the maximum is 40 years without parole.
