SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A man was arrested after attempting to abduct a child from the W. Grand Street Walmart in Springfield Sunday afternoon.
According to SPD, the man tried to take the child but was stopped. He then fled but was later found and arrested by Springfield Police officers.
He was booked into the Greene County Jail for child kidnapping. SPD says the child is safe.
