Large Fire Investigation Ongoing Near Marshfield

WEBSTER COUNTY, Mo. -- The Marshfield Fire Department will wait until sunrise to investigate a large fire in Webster County. 

UPDATE: Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00pm

The alarm was initially sounded at 7:59pm to 1490 Meyers Hollow Rd.

While details remain scarce about the cause of the fire, large cinders could be seen from up to a mile away on the property from nearby residents.

Fire crews say that conditions were hazardous with numerous obstacles and vehicles nearby. Despite being on scene for over 2 hours, they did not make contact with any individuals on the land.

Strafford Fire, Southern Webster County, and Logan-Rogersville Fire all contributed with mutual aid.

The investigation will continue after sunrise tomorrow morning.
