WILLARD, Mo. -- In Willard, they're celebrating a unique honor.
Willard is the only host city of the 2018 Bike Across Missouri ride that is not on Route 66.
Earlier this evening, the president of the Route 66 Association presented a proclamation to city council members.
A week from today, hundreds of bikes will leave Joplin and make their way to Eureka in 5 days.
Willard will be the first stop for the riders, who will be traveling on the Frisco Highline Trail.
