Hailey Owen's Ex-Stepfather Pleads Guilty on Child Pornography Charges

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - A Springfield man pleads guilty to in federal court Tuesday on child pornography charges.

Jeffrey Barfield, 39, who pleaded guilty in court on Tuesday, is the ex-stepfather of Hailey Owens, who was abducted from a street near her home in Springfield.  Owens was raped and killed in February of 2014.

In November 2017, A Greene County jury convicted Craig Wood of Springfield of her murder and rape. Circuit Judge Tom Mountjoy sentenced Wood to death for the crime.

Barfield could face up to 20 years in federal prison.
