Gov. Asa Hutchinson's Son Arrested on DWI Charge

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) - Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson's son, William Hutchinson III,  was arrested on Monday morning.

Hutchinson, 42, was booked into the Washington County Jail at 3:05 a.m. and faces charges of driving under the influence, speeding and violation of implied consent.

He was released on Monday at 4:39 a.m. on a  $1,626.50 bond.
Hutchinson has a court date set for July 19.

"We just ask for understanding and prayer," said Gov. Asa Hutchison.  "He's a grown man, he will have to respond to this in court just like any other citizen, and it's something that we take very seriously.  I know he takes very seriously, and he'll just have to answer and be responsible for it."
