SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A former Ash Grove teacher will pleads guilty to child sex charges just days before his jury trial was to have started.
William "Nate" Herrington was charged in October 2014, with second degree statutory sodomy and sexual contact with a student on school grounds.
The victim's parents say they found explicit messages from Herrington sent through Twitter to their daughter.
He was immediately suspended from the Ash Grove school district, then fired.
Herrington's jury trial was scheduled to begin today, March 13. But court records show he pleaded guilty to the charges last week.
His sentencing is now scheduled for July 14th.
