SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Just after 6 a.m., firefighters responded to a house fire on the 400 block of South Grant Avenue. The fire began in the back of the house.
The house was vacant and boarded up.
Traffic on Grant Avenue has been blocked off but is expected to reopen shortly.
