UPDATE 11 A.M. — The burglars entered the store by smashing a door out with a diesel gas pump handle. Only tobacco products had been stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

OZARK, Mo. – Officers following tracks in the snow early today, Feb. 1, led to the arrest of two juveniles suspected of a burglary around 3 a.m. at the Plaza Gas station on East South Street.

Ozark Police Capt. Derek Hill said the two were arrested after employees arriving for work today discovered a break-in had occurred overnight.

Tobacco products had been stolen, Hill said.

Officers investigating the incident found tracks in the snow that led to a home in Ozark where the two young people were taken into custody. Hill said more people are believed to have been involved and the investigation is continuing.

Because the two suspects are underage, they were not jailed, he said. The case will be handled by juvenile authorities.
