Crowder College President Leaving For Arkansas State University

NEOSHO, Mo. (KODE) -- Crowder College President Dr. Jennifer Methvin is leaving her post for a college in Arkansas.

Dr. Methvin has been appointed as the chancellor of Arkansas State University-Beebe. 

ASU System President, Dr. Charles Welch announced late last week that Dr. Methvin had been selected for the job.

Dr. Methvin served as the Vice Chancellor for Academics at the University of Arkansas community college at Hope from 2005 to 2014.

She says quote "I am encouraged by the opportunities I see ahead, impressed with the dedication of the faculty and staff, inspired by the students I met at each campus and exceptionally humbled to rejoin the institution where I taught my first community college course as an adjunct faculty member."

Dr. Methvin is expected to start her new job on July 1.
