SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– CoxHealth is offering drug take- back boxes at their pharmacies. 

The public is invited to dispose of their prescription medication for free and anonymously. The boxes are installed at five of CoxHealth’s pharmacy locations in Springfield and Branson. 

Members of the public will need to drop the prescriptions off directly in the boxes, pharmacy staff is not allowed to touch the medications. 

Needles, inhalers and aerosols are not accepted. 

The boxes will be locked at all times, once something is dropped in it can’t be taken out. 

Ryan Baker, director of Pharmacy at CoxHealth said it is very important to dispose of these medications properly. They wanted to offer services to anyone who needs to get rid of unused prescription medication at any time.
