BRANSON, Mo. (News-Leader) -- WonderWorks calls itself "the indoor amusement park for the mind."
And the Orlando-based operation, which emphasizes science, expects to have a new location open in Branson later this year, a company official said this week.
It would be the sixth WonderWorks for the company, which operates in communities including Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; Panama City Beach, Florida; and Syracuse, New York.
"WonderWorks is an indoor attraction-slash-science center," said Janine Vaccarello, chief operations officer, "but I don't like to call it a science center. It's not your typical center."
Vaccarello said WonderWorks appeals to all age groups, with a lot of hands-on activities and themed areas that cater to the interests of the communities where WonderWorks has a presence.
