EL DORADO, Ark. — (KARK) A young Arkansas mother died while live-streaming on Facebook.
Twenty-five-year-old Keiana Herndon was live on Facebook at a friend’s house in El Dorado, Arkansas. The video shows her singing and talking to her children.
Suddenly she falls and the phone drops out of her hands, with her and her son off screen.
Herndon’s uncle says he could hear his niece struggle to breathe and her son scream in the background.
Thirty minutes later, a friend arrived at the home.
Herndon’s father, Richard Herndon, wishes someone watching would have acted sooner.
Richard said losing his daughter is the hardest thing he’s ever had to face. “It’s amazing for someone to sit there and see somebody or hear them take their last breath and nobody did anything. So I want to take my hat off to everybody that actually did something.”
A state crime lab will try to determine what caused Herndon’s death.
Police say they don’t believe foul play was involved.
