WEST PLAINS, Mo.–(Ozark Radio News) The West Plains Zizzers logo at the 50-yard line at Zizzer Stadium has been returned after vandals removed the logo sometime over the weekend.

A news release from the school district states that on Tuesday evening, superintendent Dr. John Mulford was contacted by three students who admitted to the removal of the “Z” logo from the turf football field. The district says Dr. Mulford met with the students and their parents and came to a resolution.

No charges will be filed in connection with the incident.

Mulford commented, “There is no doubt that these students made a very poor decision. I appreciate the fact that they took the initiative to reach out to me and own their mistake. There will be consequences, but I have been able to come to a resolution with the students and the parents, so at this time charges will not be filed. I expect full cooperation on behalf of these young people and hope that they use this as a learning experience to avoid this type of poor decision in the future.”
