SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- The Youngblood Auto Group made a sizeable donation of over $25,000 to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks Wednesday.
That money will help those without insurance afford mammograms to detect breast cancer.
“One in eight women will receive a diagnosis of breast cancer. One in 1,000 men,” says BCFO Executive Director Crystal Webster.
A typical screening costs between $100 and $150.
“It’s something that impacts all of us at some level because it’s not just the patient that’s affected, it’s their entire family. It’s their workplace. It’s all of us,” says Webster.
The BCFO provides services to 31 different counties across the Ozarks.
