West Plains Man Accused of Molesting Child Over 2 Years

WEST PLAINS, Mo.(Ozark Radio News) – A West Plains man faces child molestation charges.

25-year-old Justin Rich was arrested on Friday, August 4 and charged with two felony counts of second-degree molestation of a child less than 12-years-old. He was later released after posting $40,000 bond.

On June 17, a woman came into the West Plains Police Department with an 11-year-old child to report that the child had been molested by Rich, who was described in court documents as her uncle. During a forensic interview at the Child Advocacy Center in West Plains June 20, the girl stated Rich had been molesting her for two years, with the most recent incident taking place on June 15, 2017.

Rich reportedly admitted to inappropriately touching the child when he was later interviewed by police.

Rich is scheduled to appear in court on the charges August 21.
