An industrial table lamp sold by West Elms is being recalled after 24 complaints were received.

The electrical wiring which runs through the adjustable arm of the lamp can become cut or fray, posing a risk of electric shock, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The 24 complaints reported the lamps shorting, sparking or getting hot.

There are many versions of the table lamp which fall under the recall.

Consumers are advised to stop using the lamps immediately and return them to West Elm.

West Elm is giving full refunds for the lamps and is covering the charges for return shipping.

There are approximately 43,000 lamps under this recall.

Consumers are welcomed to call West Elm toll-free at 866-577-9276 from 7 a.m. to midnight ET every day, or online at www.westelm.com and click on Safety Recalls at the bottom of the page for more information.

A list of the lamps under the recall can be found here.
