Showers/ storms mainly southeast today and tomorrow —
We’re starting out with fog, clouds, and a few showers this morning. Our front is still stalled to the southeast. This will be the main drive for more showers/ storms this afternoon.
Another wave will ride the front this afternoon with showers/ thunder. The front nudges south, pushing the focus for showers/ storms today to the southeast.
Like yesterday, enough instability, or fuel for storms, can build along the front for one or two strong/ severe storms. This threat will mainly be for the southeast corner of our area. Threats would be quarter size hail and damaging wind gusts to 60 mph.
Temperatures will be similar to yesterday in the upper 60’s, warmer 70’s possible southeast.
Mostly cloudy and mild 50’s are expected tonight. Showers start to arrive from the south as a low-pressure passes through Texas and Arkansas.
That storm swipes us to the south through the day tomorrow with showers/ storms likely around the state line and into Arkansas. Showers could make it as far north as Springfield, but areas north of the interstate should stay dry.
Highs stay warm in the lower 70’s.
High pressure moves in for a beautiful day on Friday, mostly sunny and warm middle 70’s!
By Saturday another cold front comes through with a few showers possible. Southerly winds will be gusty and temperatures warm in the upper 70’s.
Sunshine briefly returns Sunday before we turn unsettled again early next week.
