GREENE COUNTY, Mo. – Voter turnout numbers are in for last night’s election.

The Greene County Clerk’s Office is reporting that 71 percent of “active voters” filled out ballots yesterday. That number is with 77 of the 80 precincts being reported.

According to County Clerk Shane Schoeller “active voters” are those who they can confirm still reside in the county. Schoeller said basing voter turnout on “active voters” is a better representation of the county.

On a state level, nearly 58 percent of voters made their voice heard. That number was down from 67 percent in the 2016 presidential election.
