UPDATE: Willow Springs Escapee Found Wednesday Night

WILLOW SPRINGS, Mo. — A Willow Springs man who escaped from custody over the weekend has been found.

33-year-old Jacob Evans of Willow Springs was found in Brandsville around 10:40 pm Wednesday night.

Troopers responded Wednesday evening to a Brandsville home after receiving a tip that Evans may be there. He was found in a wooded area behind the home and was arrested without incident.

Evans was arrested by the Willow Springs Police Department on an outstanding probation violation for stealing and non-support and was being transported to the Howell County jail by the Missouri State Highway Patrol for holding around 1:30 am Saturday, May 5 when the Highway Patrol vehicle he was in struck a deer carcass in the road and received a flat tire.

The Trooper was outside of the vehicle inspecting the damage when Evans escaped the vehicle and ran.
