HOLLISTER, Mo. — The body of a man killed in a mobile home fire near Hollister this weekend has been identified.

Taney County Coroner Kevin Tweedy says the victim, 50-year-old Patrick T. Burnham II of Hollister, was pronounced dead upon arrival. Tweedy reports the death does not seem suspicious, however, the body has been sent for an autopsy.

According to the Western Taney County Fire Protection District press release, fire crews arrived at 2 p.m. to a fire in the Walker Mobile Home Park on Route BB.

Before the firefighters responded, an innocent bystander went inside the burning home and pulled a victim out. The ambulance arrived and took the victim to a nearby hospital.

The fire was contained within thirty minutes. The home was engulfed due to the construction of the home and the fire district reports that no other occupants were inside at the time.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
