UPDATE: PIlot Dies of Injuries in Plane Crash

BOLIVAR, Mo. — An 87-year-old pilot has died of injuries suffered in a plane crash this morning near Bolivar, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol spokesman.

Trooper Jason Pace tells KOLR10 that James Donald Baker died at 10:38 a.m. at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, 

He was the pilot of a 2007 Zenith 601 single-engine airplane that crashed at 9:18 a.m. at Silo Ridge Golf Course three-quarters of a mile south of the Bolivar Municipal Airport. 

No determining factors in the crash have yet been determined. Pace said.

Baker was from Bolivar.

BOLIVAR, Mo. — First responders are on scene at a Bolivar golf course where a plane crash is reported.

Missouri Highway Patrol spokesman Jason Pace said the patrol was assisting at the scene, but further details are not yet available.

The crash is reported near Silo Ridge Golf Course southwest of Bolivar.  A bystander told KOLR10 News one person was helped from the wreckage and is receiving medical care.
