Two Joplin residents are recovering from ‘mutual gunshot wounds’ after domestic incident

JOPLIN – A male and female, both 62,  are both recovering from gunshot wounds after a domestic incident in Joplin April 14, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

The two suffered “mutual gunshot wounds” from a domestic violence incident. They drove to the hospital and received treatment afterward. 

The female was wounded in the leg, and the male was wounded in the chest. Both are considered non-life-threatening injuries. The two are still hospitalized. 

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the matter.
