Four vehicals and semi wreck near Strafford


8:15 p.m.

UPDATE: According to the Springfield Fire Department, the crash was caused by a car losing control that resulted in a pile-up.

The pile-up consisted of a two cars, two trucks, and a semi. Five vehicles were involved in the crash total.

Two drivers, who were driving cars, were seriously injured and transported to a local hospital. The drivers of the other two vehicles were treated at the hospital for injuries as well. The semi-truck driver had no injuries.

A cow that was being transported by the semi got out but was caught and safely transferred to another semi.

7:57 p.m.

The semi has been towed away and one lane is now open.

There is still some clean up to be done but the other two lanes are expected to open soon.

STRAFFORD, Mo. – Two cars and semi are in a wreck on the median between I-44 and Evergreen road near Strafford.

Traffic is backed up on westbound I-44.

The ambulance has already left the scene.
