Increasing clouds today ahead of showers arriving overnight —
Our high pressure from yesterday is nudging to the east, allowing a developing low pressure to the west to creep towards the Ozarks. A band of showers in Kansas City this morning should stay north today, with the front not dipping southward into the Ozarks until the overnight.
Ahead of the low, we’ll have steady southerly winds gusting to 20-25 mph and increasing clouds. Despite mostly cloudy skies, highs would still be seasonal near 60 degrees thanks to the southerly winds.
The front arrives with showers to the northwest by 10 PM – 12 AM tonight. Spotty showers spread eastward into the Ozarks by tomorrow morning with lows in the 40’s.
Showers linger through mainly the first half of the day. This storm is weak, quick, and moisture starved so rain totals will be 0.10-0.25″ at the most.
Mostly cloudy skies linger by dismissal with cooler highs in the lower 50’s on west winds.
High pressure scoots in on the overnight, clearing out our skies.
We’ll have ample sunshine on Thursday with highs near 60 degrees, another beautiful day!
Temperatures continue to be springlike on Friday with highs in the low to middle 60’s under mostly sunny skies.
Our next storm system starts developing by Saturday with showers arriving late. We’ll keep a chance of showers Sunday and Monday with highs in the 60’s.
