TEXAS COUNTY, Mo. – A trial date has been set for a Former Texas County Sheriff who faces multiple felony charges.
James Sigman will appear for a two-day trial beginning on April 3rd.
The trial will allow evidence to be presented on a motion to permanently remove him as Sheriff.
Some of the charges against Sigman include assault, robbery, endangering a child and unlawful use of a weapon.
Charges were filed after Sigman allowed his former employee to commit these offenses, his former employee faces similar charges.
Interim Sheriff Rowdy Douglas was named after Sigman was charged and voters elected a new Sheriff in November, Scott Lindsey.
