SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Southbound Route 65 traffic flow will be redirected to a new median bridge over Springfield Lake beginning October 27th.

MoDOT issued a release urging drivers to seek alternate routes while crews widen the highway to six lanes – three lanes in each direction – and begin rehabilitation of the existing bridge.

Eastbound 60 to the southbound Route 65 ramp will be CLOSED during the traffic switch. Southbound Route 65 lanes will be narrowed and one lane will be closed at times during the initial process.

Construction will ensue between the hours of 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Thursday, October 27th thru Friday, October 28th, weather permitting.
