A new survey reveals why men don’t like going to the doctor… And surgery may be the best answer for patients with the deadliest form of cancer.
Surgery may be the key for some lung cancer patients to live longer. A study from the University of California -Davis found patients with late-stage, non-small cell lung cancer who have surgery have better survival rates that those who don’t. However, researchers found fewer of these patients are undergoing surgery.
A picture may be worth a thousand words when it comes to washing your hands. Researchers in Detroit found that seeing images of the bacteria found on everyday items inspired more healthcare workers to do a better job at cleaning their hands. Images of bacteria on things like mousepads and even hands boosted hygiene by 24 percent.
