Damp start to our Thursday, but after some clear, sunshine ends the day!
Our cold front dropped about 0.5-1.5″ across the Ozarks overnight. Heavy downpours caused some localized flooding in spots, Rolla even broke their daily record rain! The front will push south and east this morning, leaving those along and south of the I-44 corridor a bit damp at the bus stop, dry north and west.
Skies will continue to clear as the front gets out of the way. Expect decreasing clouds with sunshine to end the day. Highs will get into the mid to upper 80’s and it will be less humid.
A pleasant night tonight! Mostly clear skies with lows in the middle 60’s.
Tomorrow will be beautiful! Expect mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80’s. A hiccup in the jet stream passes through the Ozarks late in the evening and overnight. That will bring a chance for a few showers and storms. They could linger into Saturday morning, but we’ll be dry by Saturday afternoon.
Once the storms pass in the morning, Saturday afternoon will be nice with mostly sunny skies and upper 80’s.
We continue the pleasant weather Sunday as a ridge in the jet stream continues to build west. Expect sunshine and highs near 90 degrees.
SOLAR ECLIPSE: We’re keeping a close eye on Monday’s forecast, any cloud cover could inhibit your ability to see the eclipse! For now, it looks like during the solar eclipses, ~11 AM to 3 PM, we’ll have partly cloudy skies. During the peak around 1:20 PM, we should just have a few clouds in the area. After 2 PM isolated storms are possible. We’ll keep an eye on the timing of these storms as the event gets closer! Highs will get into the lower 90’s.
A cold front approaches Tuesday and Wednesday bringing a chance for showers and storms. Highs stay warm in the lower 90’s.
