The University of Missouri Goes Tobacco-Free

COLUMBIA, Mo- The University of Missouri is now a tobacco-free campus.

The university made the announcement on Facebook Tuesday but stated that the new rule went into effect on August 20th. 

“In recognition of the health and safety benefits of tobacco-free air and the responsibility to provide and maintain an optimally healthy and safe working and living environment for faculty, students, staff and visitors, the University of Missouri is smoke and tobacco-free,” said in a statement. 

Mizzou also has a map showing the boundaries of Mizzou’s Tobacco Free campus.
