Texas Man Pleads Guilty to Stealing Firearms from UPS Trailers

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A man from Texas pleaded guilty to stealing 654 firearms from UPS trailers that were headed to Bass Pro Shops.

According to a news release, 34-year-old Frank McChriston, of Ponder, Texas, has been in custody since he was arrested in January. Quinton Haywood, 27, of Glenn Heights, Texas, previously pleaded guilty to the same charges.

McChriston, Haywood and others stole 600 Beretta .380-caliber handguns and 54 Beretta 12-gauge shotguns in October 2017. 

McChriston could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison without parole.
