Texas County Sheriff and Deputy Arrested By Missouri State Highway Patrol

TEXAS COUNTY, Mo. – The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Texas County Sheriff James Sigman, 48, and Lieutenant Deputy Jennifer Tomaszewski, 38, around 5 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Both have been charged with the following: Felony Assault First Degree, Felony Robbery First Degree, Felony Endangering the Welfare of a Child First Degree, Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Felony Harassment, Felony Endangering Welfare of a Child 2nd Degree, Misdemeanor Misuse of Official Information by a Public Servant, and Misdemeanor False Impersonation.

In June, authorities executed a search warrant at the Texas County Sheriff’s Department.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Missouri Attorney General’s Office led the initial investigation.
