Stalled Vehicle Leads to Drug Arrest for Texas County Man

TEXAS COUNTY, Mo. – A Houston, Missouri man has been arrested and charged after authorities found controlled substances in his stalled vehicle.

Zachariah Sawyer, 20, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon.

Deputies were on a patrol when they came across Sawyer’s stalled vehicle on Farrell Lane north of Raymondville. During a search of Sawyer and his vehicle deputies found methamphetamine packed into little bags, drug paraphernalia and a .45 caliber pistol.

Sawyer was taken to the Texas County Jail on a pending bond of $150,000.
