Springfield Police Department to host Neighborhood Watch training sessions in April

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. The Springfield Police Department will host Neighborhood Watch training sessions.

The sessions are from 6 p.m. 8 p.m. on April 24 and 25.

The training will focus on crime prevention, observation and reporting skills, Operation Identification and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).

SPD encourages all citizens living inside the city limits to attend the training.

The training is free and attendees must attend the class both evenings to receive the full training.

There are 18 official watch groups already within the City of Springfield.

Those interested should register by contacting the SPD Crime Prevention Unit at 417-874-2113 or by filling out the online registration form here.
