Springfield man hit by car running from the police

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield man was hit by a vehicle while running from police.

The police say they stopped the man on Fort Avenue and Loren Street for a traffic stop.

The man had a parole violation and was hit by a car while he attempted to run on foot.

Police say he will not be arrested for parole violation and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
