SPRINGFIELD – Starting next Monday, the cost for trash trucks to dump waste and the Springfield Landfill is going up 4 percent per ton.
The city is raising the tipping fee to $32.18. However, there will be no increase to the $20 minimum charge for small vehicles.
Other changes include a one dollar increase to bags of compost and mulch. No word yet on if this will increase what you pay for trash service.
