Springfield Awarded $3 MIL for Tuition-Free Healthcare Training

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Department of Labor awarded the city of Springfield $3 million dollars to help boost the local healthcare industry.

The city made the announcement today – along with Ozarks Technical Community College – which partnered with the city in the initiative called “Ozarks Promise”.

The  grant will provide 372 people the opportunity for tuition-free training in health-care related jobs.

Anyone interested can apply through any career center starting in January.
