CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Mo. – The Kansas City Star reports U.S. Senator Roy Blunt has been disinvited to the Lincoln/Trump Day Dinner on April 6 in Ozark.
The reason cited in the star is Senator Blunt’s vote to block President Donald Trump’s use of emergency powers to build a border wall.
The newspaper quotes an email sent to Senator Blunt’s office, from Wanda Martens, who is the events chair for the Christian County Republican Central Committee.
The email expresses Martens’ disappointment in Blunt’s vote. She told the Senator she did not want to see him at the April event.
