Slick Overnight, Cold Weekend —
Saturday, temperatures will range from the middle 30’s in our northern counties to upper 30’s in Springfield and lower 40’s near and below the state line under mostly cloudy skies through the day. Overnight, we will have another shot of some snow and rain mix. This is something we will continue to monitor because, while totals will be light, road conditions could still be an issue for Sunday morning. Overnight temperatures will drop into the upper 20’s and lower 30’s.
Sunday, roads will start off slick from the wintry mix the night before but temperatures will warm up into the lower 40’s under mostly cloudy conditions. Sunday will also be brisk with winds out of the north between 10-15 mph and gusts up to 20 possible. Overnight temperatures will drop into the upper teens and lower 20’s.
Monday, temperatures will top off in the middle and upper 30’s and much like the weekend, under mostly cloudy conditions. Overnight temperatures will drop into the middle 20’s.
Tuesday, temperatures will top off in the middle 30’s with our next batch of wintry mix moving in through the evening hours. This will continue through the overnight and into the morning hours of Wednesday. It is still too early to tell what type of precipitation (sleet, freezing rain, snow, cold rain) but this is something we will continue to update you on as time gets closer.
