CABOOL, Mo- A bomb threat was made to Cabool Elementary School Thursday afternoon.
According to the Cabool Police Department, a staff member of the school received an email demanding a payment of $20,000 in BitCoins. The email continued to say that if the payment was not met that a bomb would be set off at the school,
The school was evacuated.
Police soon found that the email came from Moscow, Russia. Police and School Staff conducted a search of the building and no suspicious devices were found.
Parents have been notified and students were allowed to return to their classrooms a short time after 1 p.m.
Sgt. Walter Darter with Cabool PD told us that there have been threats like this all over the state.
