REPUBLIC, Mo. – A Republic man has been charged with statutory rape after a notebook detailing sexual encounters in 2017 between the underaged female victim and the suspect was found.

Zachary Rice, 28, is now facing 10 counts of second-degree statutory rape.

A probable cause statement alleges that the notebook found contained written journal entries by the victim detailing the dates the two engaged in sex as well journal entries talking about Rice.

The statement continues to say the victim alleges that Rice and she would engage in sex while he was watching kids at the home. The victim says the two would have sex while the others were sleeping.

During an initial interview Rice was asked about his contact with victim. He claimed that he only kissed the victim multiple times.

Online records show that a warrant has been issued for Rice’s arrest.
