In northwest Arkansas — a disturbing case of animal abuse after a woman says she found her 10-month-old puppy hanging from a noose in her neighbor’s yard.
Paula McNeil says it was her kids who found the puppy — named Chevy — after it wandered and went missing on Tuesday. The dog was a beagle mix and loved by the entire family.
McNeil filed a police report — but does not know who killed the animal.
“Somebody had hung him up there and killed him and my kids are destroyed,” McNeil said. “Why would someone do that to Chevy?”
McNeil is pleading for anyone with information about the crime to come forward.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigating the case.
