SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Hundreds of thousands of dollars are going to local children all thanks to the Price Cutter Charity Championship and today’s Celebration of Sharing.

Nine-hundred five-thousand dollars was given to 45 Ozarks Children’s Charities today.

A handful of organizations receiving the money rely on extra dollars such as these to keep their non-profits going.

One of them is Ambassadors for Children.

The organization strives to meet the needs of abused and neglected children placed in foster homes in Greene, Christian, and Taney counties.

Over the years, they say they’ve received more than $130,000 dollars.

This year’s total amount raised is the second highest total in the tournament’s 27-year-history.
