Missouri Governor signs bill to make changes in criminal justice system

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Governor Mike Parson signed a bill in Springfield to make modifications to several criminal justice policies on Friday, July 10, 2020.

Senate Bill 600 was signed at Springfield Police South Station.

Governor Parson is calling this new law a big step towards safety and justice.

Lawmakers who oppose the bill say it could have been written better and will not make cities or the state safer.
