SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A Springfield man was arrested and taken to a local hospital Monday (5/28/8) with nonlife-threatening injuries after he was stabbed by his mother in a domestic dispute, according to a Springfield Police Department incident report.
The report states that during an argument between a mother and son, the son began to assault the mother and then his grandmother. The mother then stabbed the son and the two women ran from the residence in the 1400 block of East Norton Road and called law enforcement.
Police officers responding to the scene arrested the man, who was later booked on suspicion of second-degree domestic assault and fourth-degree assault on an officer. During the arrest, the report states, the man “was very combative with all first responders and medical staff involved and spit in an officer’s face.”
